JOB DESCRIPTION:


Entry level learning and development position that is largely responsible for the departments


administration. Must be customer service focused with the ability to serve as point of contact for


the department and facilitate new hire orientations.  Will work closely with employees to


understand and support their learning objectives, recommending internal/external training


courses when necessary.


                          


Ensures consistent application of training standards throughout the organization.  Responsible for


creating and analyzing training assessments and evaluations, recommending course and


program changes when necessary. 


 


Assist in the delivery of training, coordinate facilitators, order appropriate materials and book locations (internal/external) across the organization in multiple locations.  Responsible for managing training vendor relationships to include pre-vetting and pre-negotiations.


 


Provide administrative support for team to include ordering and maintaining department supplies, overseeing tuition reimbursement and outside seminar programs.


 


Minimal travel required.




Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:


1 - 3 years of experience in training and development, human resources or related field with


increasing roles and responsibility.  Strong relationship building, influencing, negotiation,


presentation, and communication skills are critical to the success in this role. Must have the ability


to foster trusted relationships with employees at all levels and with outside resources. Must have


a high level of energy, passion, and dedication for building a learning organization.


 


Solid technical skills to include intermediate to advanced level MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint


skills.  Knowledge of Peoplesoft, with the ability to run queries and occassional data entry


preferred.  Distance learning skills a plus.  The ability to use excellent judgment, decision making,


criticial thinking and solid analytical skills.  Must be organized and able to prioritize based on


department/corporate needs. 


 


Must possess skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and


streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives.  Requires the ability to


effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.     


 


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:


Bachelor's degree in Training and Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources


Development or related field required.
