As a member of the Claims team, you will help people resolve problems and live safer more secure lives. You will get the opportunity to use your investigative and negotiation skills in a fast paced environment while protecting the assets of the company. We offer variety in your position - in the people you interact with and the cases you handle. This position concentrates on general liability and auto liability with an opportunity to handle both property and injury losses and litigated cases. Responsibilities:
* Assists the Regional Appraising Manager (RAM) with the management of the auto damage appraisal program and staff within an assigned region.
* Manages personnel, oversees training, monitors production and automated check goals, reviews complaints/handling responses and coordinates selection of drive-in, back up and the Total Liberty Care (TLC) shops.

Requirements |
* Fully effective written communication and interpersonal skills required to communicate with staff, vendors, etc.
* Proven technical knowledge of auto body, mechanical and repair equipment procedures.
* Knowledge of all appraisal software applications, including their management information tools; understanding of overall claims department operations and interdepartmental relationships.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and training, plus at least 5-7 years of progressively more responsible experience in auto damage appraising. upervisory and/or management experience and/or equivalent branch office claims case handling experience preferred.
* Licensing and jurisdictional certification needs as required.
